Meet the Physicians

Dr. Frank Sutter, DC

Dr. Frank Sutter is the founder and clinical director of Chicago Institute of Natural Health.  As a chiropractic physician and a nutritionist, he envisions a whole health center that considers both the structure of the human body as well as individuals' unique biochemistries when it comes to food and nutrition.  Dr. Sutter believes that it is important to look at all aspects of one's health when addressing a patient's presenting illness/pain.  Too often problems are multifactorial and require proper assessment of the whole body - not simply viewing the human body as separate organ systems working independent of one another.  When it comes to various illnesses, whether autoimmune conditions, digestive disorders, headaches, back pain, etc., he has seen profound results from dietary changes, particularly when combined with proper physical rehab and structural alignment.

Dr. Sutter was first introduced to the unique approach of chiropractic and natural medicine at a young age. His mother spent days to weeks at a time laid up in bed due to crippling low back pain. She was told by many physicians that she would be unable to walk by the time she was thirty years old. A friend encouraged her to visit a local chiropractor and the results were phenomenal. Even now, 30 years later, his mother is stronger than ever, playing tennis, swimming laps, and pain free. She is a true testament to the benefits of chiropractic care.

Dr. Frank Sutter grew up on the East Coast and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a B.S. in Business and Psychology. He later earned his second B.S. in Human Biology from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois and continued his education at NUHS to earn a degree in chiropractic medicine graduating from the 5 year academic program with honors. Dr. Sutter continues to take post-graduate coursework in nutrition, physical rehabilitation, McKenzie Technique, acupuncture, low back pain, TMJ dysfunction, and more. He continually seeks advanced methods of treating people without the use of surgery or prescription drugs and is thrilled with the improved health results that he seen with so many of his patients.
